OK for the price...But a JBL PartyBox it ISN'T
Got on sale had been clearly used, which I expected, bluetooth is fine, now I will tell you I own a PartyBox 200, which is a little more speaker, so I wasnt expecting this to sound like it does, I needed a big bluetooth speaker for another location and it was a third of the price, so I went for it. I'm sorry it has OK Bass, highs are shrilly, and cannot be turned up without losing sound integrity. I figured it weighed enough ( about 23 pounds or so) so maybe it would be ok. It isn't. Now, if you've never owned or heard the PartyBox you might think it's fine, but if you HAVE compared them, this one is a definite "also ran". I'm sending it back, and add another $100 and get the PartyBox 100, which has the same punchy clear sound as the 200 with a little lower power but NOT at the sacrifice of sound quality. My advice? Take the $135 or so you were going to pay for this one put a few more bucks with it and get the renewed JBL PartyBox 100 on here for $229. There really is NO comparison, listen to both if you can, buy this Altec and never listen to the PartyBox and think this one is good, or be a titewad like me trying to save 100 bucks and sacrifice everything you're paying for. Trust me, cough up the extra $100...and thank me later.

Great Speaker
Ive had my Sound Rover for several years now. Still packs a punch and holds a charge for quite a while. Only thing im noticing now is theres a purple light coming on through one of the flashing strobe light plates. Just stays on not flashing. I don't use the lights to be honest due to keeping the battery power maximum, but they are cool to have if your using them for a party. Either way, this speaker is great. I love Altec Lansing speakers. I also have a Hydramotion speaker for years and still works great today. I just ordered a Rockbox XL and looking forward using it at the pool or paddelboarding.
